Or Cohen-Sasson is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Faculty of Law and a member of the DH Lab. His research interests focus on Law & Tech, with an emphasis on IP, innovation policy, and computational law. Or’s academic background includes law, biology, and computer science, and he published his works in leading journals such as Science, EMBO Reports, Arizona State Law Journal, and Fordham IPLJ.
During his fellowship, Or conducts an empirical study examining U.S. Law Reviews (LRs) over the past 75 years. Utilizing computational methods and an extensive dataset of about 150,000 texts from 40 LRs, he aims to explore various factors in legal scholarship throughout these years such as authorship, topics, interdisciplinarity, citations-related data, methodologies, jargon, register, and gender representation. The goal is to reveal patterns and trends in legal research and provide an insightful glimpse into the evolution of academic scholarship in the domain of law.
